El Voley una pasión que siempre me acompañó a lo largo de mi vida - Volleyball a passion that always

Mi pasión por el voleyball empezó cuando estaba en el colegio estudiando Primaria. En mi colegio se llamaba Fuentelarreyna y es un colegio de integración. Mi entorno ha sido siempre oralista tanto en mi familia como en el colegio. Comencé a ser parte del equipo del colegio animada por mi profesor de gimnasia que veía cualidades en mi; yo era la única persona sorda del equipo.

La verdad que fueron unos años muy bonitos aprendí muchísimo de este deporte y también de la buena piña del equipo que éramos.

Aun me acuerdo de mi capitana Luchy que daba miedo con solo oir el golpe de sus remates, la animación tan buena de nuestros padres que no se perdían ni un solo partido. Fuimos ganando muchas ligas, torneos….y llegamos a ser campeonas de la Comunidad de Madrid.

Y aunque hice mi camino y mi vida en el instituto, cuando cursé el Bachillerato, formé parte del equipo y luego en la Universidad también. Es decir, este deporte me ha acompañado desde siempre aunque tuve una época de poca dedicación por problemas de falta de tiempo. Pero las ganas de seguir nunca me faltaron. Con el tiempo aprendí la lengua de signos, que me ha dado mucha riqueza y ahora puedo decir que soy bilingüe.

Cuando me entere que por FMDS tenían un equipo de Volleyball me puse tan contenta que decidí probar la experiencia con gente sorda como yo. Al principio tenía mis dudas como nos entenderíamos, la entrenadora sabía Lse?, cuál era su técnica y un largo etc. Me animaron y decidí empezar esta nueva aventura…nada más volver a coger una pelota me vinieron infinitos de recuerdos y alegría por volver a mi pasión.

Al principio era “novata” tenia que refrescarme y seguir bien su técnica, mi posición…

Con entrenamientos, cogiendo confianza me fui soltando más y me encantaba convivir ese pequeño rato del entrenamiento ya que ahora es por separado (antes era mixto) pero aprendemos tanto de nuestra gran entrenadora Lucile ,Sonia, Jeanette (que hacen un gran esfuerzo en comunicarse con nosotros y enseñarnos)

Una de las cosas que más me han gustado es que convivimos este deporte tanto con oyentes y es muy bonito verles involucrados y querer aprender con nosotros. Yo me comunico con mis compañeras en Lse y a los oyentes intento echarles una mano hablando. Llegaron los partidos y el primero que me toco jugar de la liga ganamos!!! No me lo creía después de tantos años…esa concentración, nervios y tensión volvía a mi cuerpo. Hemos ganado y perdido pero lo importante es disfrutar del deporte y sobretodo del equipo la unión y esa conexión para seguir celebrando más éxitos.

Se acerca en nada el reencuentro de Volleyball de sordos y estoy también muy ilusionada, aprender su forma de jugar, cultura y convivir unos días todos juntos. Espero poder seguir disfrutando de este precioso deporte y de este equipo de FMDS que me ha devuelto tantas alegrías.

My passion for voleyball started when I was in school studying Primary. My school was called Fuentelarreyna and it is an integration school. My surroundings has always been oralistic both in my family and at school. I started to be part of the school team encouraged by my gym teacher who saw qualities in me; I was the only deaf person on the team.

The truth that were a very nice years I learned a lot of this sport and also the good pineapple of the team that we were. I still remember my captain Luchy who scared to hear the blow of their shots, the animation so good of our parents that not lost a single match. We were winning many leagues, tournaments ... and we became champions of the Community of Madrid.

And although I made my way and my life in high school, when I attended high school, I was part of the team and then in the University as well. That is to say, this sport has accompanied me since always although I had a time of little dedication by problems of lack of time. But the desire to follow I never lacked. Over time I learned sign language, which has given me a lot of wealth and now I can say that I am bilingual.

When I found out that FMDS had a Volleyball team I was so happy that I decided to try the experience with deaf people like me. At first I had my doubts as we would understand, the coach knew LSE? what was his technique and a long etc. They encouraged me and I decided to start this new adventure ... nothing more to catch a ball I came infinite memories and joy to return to my passion.

At first it was "novice" I had to refresh myself and to follow well his technique, my position ...

With training, taking confidence I was releasing more and I loved to live that little time of training since it is now separately (before it was mixed) but we learn so much from our great trainer Lucile, Sonia, Jeanette (who make a great effort in communicating with us and teach us)

One of the things that I liked the most is that we live this sport with both listeners and it is very nice to see them involved and want to learn from us. I communicate with my colleagues in LSE and the listeners I try to give them a hand talking. The games arrived and the first one I played to play in the league we won !!! I did not believe it after so many years ... that concentration, nerves and tension returned to my body. We won and lost but the important thing is to enjoy the sport and above all the team the union and that connection to continue celebrating more successes.

The Meeting of Deaf Volleyball is near and I am also very excited, learn their way to play, culture and live together for a few days.

I hope to continue enjoying this beautiful sport and this FMDS team that has brought back so many joys.
